Sean’s love for teaching began at the Sioux City Country Club.  He would observe Master Golf Professional, Mitch Merrill during his lessons.  Sean has had eight years of experience in the golf industry since playing collegiate golf for Morningside College and attending the San Diego Golf Academy.  He recently attended the PGA Accelerated Program consisting of level 1 and 2 of the PGM program for Golf Professionals.  He was fortunate to learn from Rick Martino (Golf Digest top 100 Instructors) and other top teaching professionals in Florida at the PGA Learning Center.  Sean credits a large amount of his golf teaching knowledge from PGA Teaching Professionals, Buddy Allin, James Sieckman, and Don Cook.   These individuals as well as many other SDGA and PGA Instructors have helped Sean develop his own teaching philosophy and techniques.   Sean was an Assistant Golf Professional at the Sioux City Country Club during the 2005 season and is continually pursuing the teaching profession.  He is a student of the game as he is currently a PGA Apprentice and working on attaining his Class A PGA Membership.

GOLF TIPS

Tip #2

"Pick out the
smallest target possible such as
a tree branch or
pole beyond the
fairway or green
to help you focus
and visualize
the ball flight."
